We are seeking to appoint a Director of Education and Professional Practice, on a fixed-term basis for a period of up to 12 months. This is a key appointment for the Royal Society of Chemistry, and the post-holder will be leading a directorate of around 80 employees.
The directorate of Education and Professional Practice delivers the RSC’s objectives in setting and upholding professional standards, supporting practising chemists, and inspiring the next generation of chemists. Teams within the directorate deliver a variety of programmes, including provision of teaching resources and services, influencing education policy, managing and developing the RSC’s membership operation, accreditation of organisational programmes and administering individual recognition, including the prestigious award of Chartered Chemist.
