The Royal Society of Chemistry has an opportunity for an Assistant Editor, Education Magazines and Journals to join us on a temporary (18-months) full-time (35-hour week) basis. You will be based at our Cambridge Science Park office (free onsite parking), with some travel for meetings, events and conferences required.
As Assistant Editor, you will demonstrate a good understanding of publishing systems, workflows and procedures, as you will contribute to the production of Education in Chemistry, the Royal Society of Chemistry’s magazine for teachers. This includes commissioning, writing and editing content, and coordinating with freelance contributors and editors. Working with our Deputy Editor, you will plan and deliver a pipeline of high-quality content, reflecting the needs and expectations of our key audiences, online and in print. With your understanding of publishing systems, workflows and procedures, you will commission, write and oversee editing of content for Education in Chemistry, our flagship magazine for teachers.
