Overview

The Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) seeks a Programme Manager to oversee our new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and support our Digital Transformation Strategy.

 

As Programme Manager (ERP) within our Technology team, in this important two-year project role you will be responsible for planning and implementing the RSC’s new ERP system programme and working with stakeholders and project managers to deliver this important programme of work. You will create the plan of work, applying professional principles, practices and techniques to manage the programme and support project managers to ensure on time, in budget, high quality delivery. Your role will also extend to other business transformation Programmes as part of the RSC’s Digital Transformation Strategy.

We are looking for:

  • A track record of delivering large, multi-million Programmes of work which consist of cross-functional, multiple projects and implementations;
  • Proven experience with implementing third-party, cloud-based Technology products into medium-size organisations;
  • Essential experience in implementing ERP and/or Finance systems;
  • Highly desirable experience with change management techniques, e.g. ADKAR;
  • Hands-on, deadline-orientated and goal-driven approach, complimented with sensitivity to the high quality standards and reputation management;
  • Demonstrable strong leadership skills in the organisational matrix;
  • Proven experience with reporting to Steering Groups composed of Directors and Leadership Team representatives;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with a natural ability to explain technical concepts equally well to stakeholders with a level of technical understanding and those without;
  • Highly desirable qualification in relevant Programme and/or Project management methodologies, with a sound knowledge for Agile Project Management principles;
  • Familiar with Project management tools such as MS Project, Atlassian Product suite and Basecamp;
  • Ability to lead and influence others in Technology and across the RSC, inspiring confidence whilst delivering the Technology strategy.
